Stories Behind What We Carry

Sackcloth & Ashes

For every blanket purchased, one is donated to a local homeless shelter.

In 2013, Bob Dalton's mother experienced homelessness. That experience changed the way he saw the world — and eventually, the way he built a business.

Sackcloth & Ashes was founded on a simple but powerful idea: for every blanket purchased, one is donated to a local homeless shelter. Not a percentage of profits. Not a seasonal campaign. One blanket purchased, one blanket donated. Every single time.

The blankets themselves are made with the same intention. Sustainably crafted in Italy from recycled materials through a water-free, dye-free process, each Camp Union and Wool Camp Lake blanket is designed to be beautiful enough to want and durable enough to give.

The give-one-get-one model means that every blanket on our shelves has a twin somewhere — in the hands of someone who needed it. That is not a marketing strategy. It is a commitment Bob Dalton made because his mother was cold, and he decided to do something about it.

We carry Sackcloth & Ashes at Lykke Living because some stories stay with you. This is one of them. A blanket that gives twice.
