Stories Behind What We Carry

Kasih Co-op

Kasih means love. It shows in every thread. Every purchase supports fair wages, preserves time-honored traditions, and funds education for Indonesian girls.

When founder Ivana launched Kasih Co-op in 2012, she had a clear and urgent vision: honor the traditional crafts of her Indonesian heritage while empowering the artisans who keep them alive. In a world where handmade traditions are disappearing under the pressure of fast fashion and mass production, Kasih Co-op is a deliberate act of preservation.

Over half of their artisan partners are women-led businesses. Every scarf, wrap, and textile in the collection is handcrafted using traditional techniques specific to its region of Indonesia — techniques that have been passed down through families for generations and that would disappear without the market that Kasih Co-op has created.

Every purchase does three things: it pays a fair wage to the artisan who made it, it preserves a traditional craft, and it funds educational opportunities for Indonesian girls in the communities where Kasih Co-op works.

We carry Kasih Co-op at Lykke Living because we believe the things we wrap around ourselves should carry something more than warmth.

Wrapped in craft. Carried with purpose.
